ABOUT ME
Hi welcome to my site! Iām Kirstin Lauther an artist from upstate New York!
ILLUSTRATION
My illustration style and subject matter are greatly inspired by the books and movies that I loved growing up. One of my major influences is Maurice Sendak who illustrated many books including two series Where the Wild Things Are and Little Bear. Other influences are vintage greeting cards as well as the cute animals that I would see in nature near my home. I like to use sever different mediums when creating, from digital painting in photoshop or procreate to colored inks as well as pastels and colored pencils.
ANIMATION
I went to school at Savannah College of Art and Design and got my BFA in animation. I have such a passion for this art form! my specialty is 3d animation although I like to dabble in 2d and stop motion, it is so rewarding to bring a character to life and to tell a story.
